My daughter-in-law saw this in the July/August 2009 issue of
Crochet today! and liked it. It is crocheted with RED HEART Eco Ways Bamboo Wool. I had never used this yarn before. It felt really good but I had to be careful because the yarn wanted to split. It is an easy pattern and I hope Linh will enjoy using it.
Thank you so much for dropping by my blog. I loved visiting yours and hope to hear more from you in the future. We're off on our date. :)
ReplyDeleteGod bless your weekend.
Isn't that beautiful? I think homemade gifts are the best.
ReplyDeleteI'm both happy and appalled when I can buy a beautiful handmade item at a garage sale or thrift shop for a dollar, knowing how much time went into it.
My daughter has a beautiful piece of embroidery framed over her piano that takes my breath away when I see it. I bought it for one dollar along with many doilies for a quarter each at a garage sale in Detroit.
I figure we are loving the items even if the people having the garage sale didn't. Yours is so pretty. :)
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope you will drop by again. Your wrap is so beautiful. I wish I were able to knit.
ReplyDeleteHello dear Marie! Oh my goodness, what a beautiful wrap!! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Brenda about finding a beautiful handmade item at a garage sale or the Goodwill Store! I recently found a beautiful handmade quilt made by one sister for her other sister for Christmas 2 years ago!! It makes me wonder what would make a person give that away?
I bought a pretty handmade cross stitched picture about a "daughter" that is incredible. One of my girls will get it for Christmas...but how do I choose which one? I have three blood daughters, two daughters in love, and one precious step daughter! I wonder if I should keep it and just think of all six of them when I see it??
I have all of my grandma's things that she ever made and gave to me. Some of them were made when she was legally blind and had lots of mistakes but I love them anyway! She gave me one pretty wrap to use when I got up in the middle of the night to nurse my (then) latest baby. I wrapped my baby up in it as well!
Thanks for your pretty pictures!
Lots of love sent to you! Beth
You are so talented. Both the design and color are lovely. What a nice gift.
ReplyDeleteOh how I wish I possessed the talent to do something as beautiful as this. I can crochet basics like a single chain and double chain but that is all. I am horrible at directions. I do better if someone sat with me, showed me how to do it while we did it together.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and leaving me a comment about the book review I completed. I hope you really enjoy it! I love that it is based on a true story as well. That just add some extra specialness to it.
I decided to become a follower of yours as well since you have so many different creative ideas listed here and I love that you leave your beautiful Angel tree up all year long.
Hope you decide to stop by again sometime and we can become great friends.
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
Hi Marie! Thanks for the visit! I love this wrap - abolutely gorgeous. I admire all the crochet-ers out there as that is one thing I never mastered (except for granny squares).
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your comments about the hummingbirds. Yes, ours are very territorial most of the time too! Now is the time, however, they start tolerating each other a little more. Guess it's because they're loading up for the trip back to S. America. Also, I see the same thing every Spring as you mentioned with yours. They come to the spots where I usually have feeders as if to say - 'hey, where's the goodies?!'. Gotta love them... smart, delightful, beautiful little creatures God gave us to enjoy. -Tammy
That is beautiful! She will love it! Twyla
ReplyDeleteWow, what talent! That wrap is gorgeous! I would love to be able to do something that pretty. Hope you have a great week! Much love, Raquel XO
