It has been a long time since I was here posting.  There has been a lot going on with mine and my husband's health.  We are trying our best to be able to stay in our home.   With help from family and friends, so far we are able to make it.  I stay busy with my hands or reading to try to stay sane. Ha!  I thought I would share some of the projects that have kept me busy.
This Shawl is Monarda Shawl from Sock Yarn Shawls II.  I knit it using Knit Picks Stroll Hand Painted-fingering yarn-Seashell Tonal

This is a granny-square baby blanket done with Lion Brand Baby Soft Print.  The pattern for the rabbit is Mario the Artistic Rabbit by Jenna Krupar.

Swedish Spring by Maria Monteka and knit with Knit Picks Stroll - Dove Heather

Barley Hat by Tin Can Knits and knitted with Red Heart yarn

Adriafil Knit Col - Baby/Toddler Socks - Plymouth Yarn Co. - 0-6months - I used Jamie Yarn by Lion Brand - weight #3.

Hitofude Cardigan by Hiroko Fukatsu and I used Knit Picks fingering yarn to knit it.

Sock Yarn Shawl by Kay F. Jones and knitted with Knit Picks Stroll

The Baby Vertebrae, hat, and socks are knit using Baby Bee Sweet Delight Baby Yarn.
Arrowhead by Maria Montzka -knit using Knit Pick Stroll -Seashell Fingering weight.
Sockhead Hat - Kelly McClure   Knit using Regia by Arne & Carolos
Clara by Karin Vestergaard Mathlesen - knih using Malabrigo Yarn - Viola
Mrs. Bakery Bear pattern by Kay F. Jones.  I knitted this for a very sick friend as a gift. I just used yarn I had in my stash.

The three above pictures are my first spinning attempts and project.  I used a drop spindle and spun the yarn and then plied it together, then soaked it, and then knit the little cat.  Not too bad for a first attempt.

This is my second attempt.  This time I knitted a coffee cup cozy with my yarn.

I hope you enjoyed taking a look at my projects.  They gave me a lot of hours to keep my mind off our problems.
Love,
Marie

April Showers brought May flowers

On a pretty day last week, I rode my motorized wheelchair around our yard and took some pictures.  We use to have many, many more flowers in the yard but had to get rid of them because of my husband's health.  He is having a difficult time now due to MS. I hope you enjoy the scenes around the yard.

Amaryllis that I had Christmas before last and we planted it in the yard.

A snake taking a sunbath outside my bedroom window.  We just left him there to take care of the  bugs.
Baby Doves

The birds built a nest in my flowers over the front door.

Return from long absence....

Well, it has been a while since I have posted and a lot has gone on. We have been through cold and snow and poor health.  We are still hanging in here and truly blessed through it all.  I thought I would begin a post by showing scenes from our home during the month of April.

I hope you enjoy it and I will post more pictures later and also show you what I have been making.
Love,
Marie
