Our son and his wife came home from CA for Christmas. As I had announced in an earlier post, they surprised us by letting us know they are expecting their first baby in June. When we were taking them to the airport to go back home, we stopped to eat and also went in a Michaels. I needed some thread and as we were looking we all saw this pattern book. They loved it and our daughter-in-law picked out the thread. As you will see below, I made the set and it is finished except the buttons. The day I finished it, they called to tell us that at their doctor's appointment they found out there baby is a boy. Oh, Well! I will put this pink set in my Grandmother's box for the next baby. We are very excited that the baby is a boy--he can carry on the family name.
Gorgeous baby clothes, pity about the colour. It seems that where I live the traditional colour trent for boys and girls has completely changed. Apparently nowadays anything goes. Sad. I like your new header picture, especially your house.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. When my mother was young, the colors were reversed for boys and girls. Anyway, it's always nice to have an extra baby outfit in the "gift box" that we all have.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Lois
Hi Marie,
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by my blogg and commenting on the crib sized Around the World quilt. I am considering posting a photographic tutorial with my next one.
Your crocheted layett is beautiful. I'd really like to enhance my crochet skills - maybe someday, I'll find more time to devote to expanding that area.
Again,
Thank you for the visit

Your little pink outfit is beautiful!! I'm sure it will find a home on a little baby girl someday. I can't wait to see what you make your future grandson!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the upcoming birth of your 1st gs.
ReplyDeleteYour outfit is just beautiful and I am sure that you will find a baby girl somewhere that will look so pretty in pink.
Have a nice day
When I was expecting Christopher, I had numerous ultra sounds since it was a high risk pregnancy. He was in a difficult position but the tech kept saying it was a girl.
ReplyDeleteImagine our surprise when he was born by C-section and the doctor told us it was a BOY. :)
Friends and family had to take back the pink clothing and exchange them for blue.
Thank you for commenting on my blog, Marie! And congratulations to you with your coming grandson! What a precious blessing. You must be so excited!!
